“Wake up, Candy,” Kendrick muttered into her silky hair.

Judging from the scarf that slid from her head and the drool on her chin, this was the best she’d slept in a long time. He chuckled at the sight of her, taking a moment to snap a photo on his phone before resuming the flutter of kisses to her face.

“Get up Candy girl,” he groaned into her supple skin.

“Mm mm. No I don’t have to be in the office until nine,” she muttered rolling over earning her a laugh and a caress.

“We’re not going into the office today,” Kendrick grumbled wrapping his arms around her.

“Why are you wet?” she groaned into his freshly washed chest.

“There’s a full service gym on this floor. You know I have to run every morning.”

“So you’re going to walk around naked all day?”

Kendrick laughed trying not to go with his first mind and put her through the mattress. “I got us some clothes from downstairs. I’m going back to the house to get Rocko and then the three of us are going out.”

Yandi instantly popped an eye open, puzzlement striking over her face. “Are you French?”

“We, we, we baby.” Kendrick laughed, bending over to kiss her face repeatedly. “We go together again.”

“Is that so?”

“It is. Now, I need you to get up before I put you through this damn mattress.”

Yandi bit her lip at the thought. “It’s not a terrible idea.”

Kendrick groaned. “No. I’ll have your sweet ass locked in here for a week. Get up baby. There’s a bag of clothes in the closet. Dress comfortably.”

Yandi pushed herself up and swung her legs off of the bed, giving Kendrick enough space to stand between them. Kendrick cupped her chin while her hands roamed up and down his bare midsection. She was toying with him, knowing that his manhood would rise and beckon her. She needed to apologize correctly. He stopped her again.

Kissing the top of her head, he muttered. “I’ll be back.”

Yandi found the clock on the dresser and groaned. “Six in the morning and nothing to show for it.”

“In time you’ll be walking funny, Candy. I love you; get dressed.”

As Kendrick turned to walk out of the bedroom Yandi turned the TV on, needing background noise. Local news at this time of the morning was all she was going to find.

“Thanks for the weather Tom. In breaking news, the LOPD has issued an arrest warrant for Kendrick Saxon of the LO Royals. Some of you know him as Mr. Grand Slam or Buy the City Back. According to reports, Saxon and his long-time agent, Juan Rodriguez Junior, got into a brawl last night. LOPD urges Saxon to turn himself in and Rodriguez is in Saint Olive Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Back to you, Alex.”

Yandi’s breathing halted along with Kendrick’s steps. “Kendrick…”

He closed his eyes in pulled in a deep breath. “It’s always something.”

Their phones began to ring, and Yandi’s anxiety heightened with every passing second. Ignoring the ringing of her phone to leap from the bed and rushed to dress.
